We have mat classes to suit everyone’s needs, from Beginner through Improver to Advanced. These are usually taught in blocks of 12 sessions during term time to accommodate clients with children at school, and take place in the mat studio.
New Beginner classes start on a regular basis. During the course, you will learn the basic principles of Pilates including correct breathing, pelvic and shoulder stabilization, and how to strengthen the deep core muscles through a range of different exercises.
As Pilates is a continual learning process, more complex and challenging exercises will be gradually introduced as you progress onto different levels.
Mat classes are small, with a maximum of ten people to allow for individual supervision from the teacher where needed.
We provide mats and head cushions; and we use a range of additional props in our classes, such as large balls, small toning balls & weights, foam rollers, toning circles and resistance bands. These all add fun to the class and help to focus on all the deep core muscles.
